
Two Northern Finnish electricity distribution companies rely on Tietoevry’s cloud-based network information system
Koillis-Lapin Sähkö and Tornionlaakson Sähköverkko chose the new system to manage the entire electricity network from its general planning phase to maintenance.

Koillis-Lapin Sähkö and Tornionlaakson Sähköverkko, two electricity distribution companies operating in Northern Finland, chose Tietoevry’s cloud-based solution as their new network information system. The system is used to manage the entire electricity network from its general planning phase to maintenance.
Tietoevry’s Network Information System (NIS) is a cloud solution operated in a web browser independently of time and place. Through its role-based user interface enables user right specific usage of the system internally and for partners, like outsourced network construction companies. The system is also an efficient in reporting network assets to the Energy Authority.

Tornionlaakson Sähköverkko secures the electricity supply to nearly 17,000 users around the clock and regardless of seasons within five municipalities along the Tornio River. The network includes a total of almost 4,000 kilometres of electricity network, of which 300 kilometres are 110 kV high-voltage distribution networks.
