(Fornebu/Stavanger, 26 April 2021) Technological innovation and sustainability are central to the Lyse group’s strategy for developing critical infrastructure and user-friendly services. These drivers will also play a key role in the modernisation and digitalisation work that Lyse and Tietoevry will prioritise in their collaboration, which will now be further developed over the next three years.
“Over the past few years we have worked in a systematic way with TietoEVRY to build a robust and scalable tech platform that is both high-quality and secure”, comments Geir Arve Vika, CIO at the Lyse group.
The partnership will now continue with undiminished strength and will complete the group’s ‘cloud first’ strategy. The systematic collection and use of data to provide the basis for quicker business-critical decisions is also key to the work.
“We are looking forward to continuing our collaboration with Tietoevry for the further development of our IT solutions. We have big ambitions for our digitalisation. We need to make strategic use of future-oriented IT solutions and expertise in order to deliver good products and services that make our customers’ and employees’ day-to-day activities easier and more sustainable,”, comments Jens Arne Steinsbø, Executive Vice President for Strategy and Technology at Lyse.
By making active use of technology and engaging in continual development and modernisation, TietoEVRY will be a driver for helping Lyse to continue its sustainable growth and contribution to society.
“We are proud that we will be continuing to work with Lyse and serving as a strategic partner for its digitalisation work. This agreement demonstrates that our solutions are well suited to the needs of the digital companies of tomorrow due to their level of user-friendliness and quality, as well as the secure and efficient way in which they are delivered”, comments Christian Pedersen, Managing Partner for Tietoevry Norway.
Under the new agreement, Tietoevry will continue to provide and add to a broad range of solutions, including dynamic infrastructure (IAAS), application and database operations, application management, data management, storage, end-user and data centre services.
Tietoevry will also continue to be a key partner in relation to Lyse’s systematic work to complete its cloud journey and to modernise and automate its business support tools. A modern technology platform will ensure that Lyse’s customers enjoy the best possible user experience and that its employees can use modern tools that ensure collaboration, mobility and a high level of efficiency.
Tietoevry’s new agreement with Lyse runs for a period of three years and includes the option to extend for a further two years. The agreement has an estimated framework value of approximately NOK 180 million excluding the option.
