The challenge
Greiner AG aimed to rapidly and sustainably establish generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in its business practices. In addition to evaluating Copilot for Microsoft 365 (GPT-powered features in Microsoft Office and other tools), the innovative company identified specific, realistic use cases that can be implemented with high quality using customized Azure Open AI Services.
As a leading company in the plastics industry, it was crucial for Greiner AG to enhance efficiency while ensuring that sensitive company data was securely managed. Traditional approaches to answering a wide range of questions were often time-consuming and resource-intensive for employees, placing a strain on business processes. The introduction of new technologies such as GenAI was a significant step, but there were concerns about integrating it into the existing IT infrastructure and ensuring data security.
The solution
Tietoevry Austria partnered strategically with Greiner AG to address these challenges. Through close collaboration between the teams from both companies, a customized GPT-enabled Copilot was developed, building on an existing Microsoft chatbot solution and leveraging existing data and security guidelines. This intelligent Copilot was integrated into Microsoft Teams to enable seamless communication and collaboration in an environment familiar to employees.
By leveraging Microsoft Azure OpenAI, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365, the solution was quickly implemented and tailored to the specific needs of Greiner AG. This created a foundation for the implementation of various exciting use cases in areas such as finance, sustainability, and more.
